Clash Royale Card Power Rankings (May 19th)

After a total of 16 cards were rebalanced yesterday, we are finally seeing a few changes with the Card Power Rankings this week.  One interesting thing in common with all of the Top 10 cards this week: aside from the Elixir Collector (which is meant to give you an Elixir advantage), all the card costs are 4-elixir or less!  Are fast cycle decks becoming the new norm in Clash Royale?

Clash Royale Card Power Rankings (May 19th)

Rank Card Last Week’s Rank
1 (tied) Cannon  CannonCard 2 Looks like the Clash Royale team failed miserably in trying to convince players to switch to playing more Teslas.  Cannon is the most played card by top players this week, even after another nerf on its hit points.
1 (tied) Elixir Collector  elixir_collector 1 Similarly, the Elixir Pump retains its top spot this week as well despite another significant decrease in hit points.  While the Pump is now more easily countered by spells, players are finding that the card is still effective in helping to build an Elixir advantage.
3 Zap  zap 3 (tied) When you just need that extra second to deal out some damage, Zap is the perfect spell for you.  Also helps that Zap is one of the best counters for Sparky, along with Skeletons.
4 Princess  PrincessCard 3 (tied) No changes with the Top 4 this week!  Princess goes well with just about any deck with her cheap cost and ridiculous range.
5 Skeletons  clashroyale-icons-skeletons 9 (tied) The cheapest card in the game was rewarded with a buff in the last balance change, and has now landed in the Top 5 of the rankings.
6 Mini P.E.K.K.A  mini_PEKKA NEW Now this is a bit of a surprise!  Mini P.E.K.K.A was not affected by the balance change, but now fits in well with the new meta with her(?) ability to deal high damage.  Knight may have gotten a decent buff, but looks like players are still opting for speed and damage.
7 Hog Rider  clashroyale-icons-hogrider 7 Same spot this week for Hog Rider.  Be sure to read all about how to use the Hog in our recent strategy breakdown of the card.
8 (tied) Freeze  download 5 (tied) Freeze was victim to a significant nerf, but it appears that either the card still remains effective after the duration decrease, or top players are still struggling to find a substitute for Freeze in their decks.
8 (tied) Arrows  Arrows 5 (tied) Still a popular spell, but more and more players are now opting to play with Zap over Arrows.
8 (tied) Minions minions 8 The flying trio remains as the more popular alternative to Minion Horde this week.
