Clash Royale Card Power Rankings (May 26th)

After the wrap up of another Legendary Arena season, it appears that the meta is once again stabilizing.  Once again, the theme of the week is Elixir savings: the Elixir Collector remains the most popular card amongst top players, and all other popular cards cost only 4-elixir or less.  With the top ladder players opting to play small and fast, can we expect buffs for high cost cards for the next balance change?

Clash Royale Card Power Rankings (May 19th)

Rank Card Last Week’s Rank
1 Elixir Collector  elixir_collector 1 (tied) Our thorough breakdown of the Elixir Collector this week shows that despite the HP nerfs, the Pump is still able to effectively do what it does best: give players an Elixir advantage.
2 Cannon  CannonCard 1 (tied) Despite not being able to target air troops, the Cannon’s low cost makes the building a viable distraction for Minions and even Lava Hounds if there’s nothing else to play.
3 (tied) Princess  PrincessCard 4 Helpful hint: if you plan to counter Princess with Skeletons, make sure you place them AFTER Princess has shot off her first Arrows, otherwise the Skeletons will push Princess back and force her to retarget!
3 (tied) Skeletons  clashroyale-icons-skeletons 5 Speaking of Skeletons, these little guys can defend against just about anything if played properly.  Now if only Guards were able to work as well defensively as Skeletons…
5 (tied) Zap  zap 3 Slight drop in usage for Zap this week.  But the card is still a great combo card for…
5 (tied) Hog Rider  clashroyale-icons-hogrider 7 … Hog Rider.  With the disappearance of the Double Prince/P.E.K.K.A strategy, Hog is by far the most preferred sprinting troop in the game.
5 (tied) Mini P.E.K.K.A  mini_PEKKA 6 Mini P’s high damage makes him (or her?) a great counter for everything ranging from Miners, Hogs, and Giants.
8 Musketeer  MusketeerCard NEW With good range and damage, Musketeer is one of the best ranged troops in the game (second only to Princess).
9 (tied) Arrows  Arrows 8 (tied) Still a staple in the Card Power Rankings, Arrows hang on to the #9 spot this week.
9 (tied) Poison  PoisonCard NEW Poison finally makes its debut on the rankings as the most viable substitute to the nerfed Freeze
