Clash Royale Card Power Rankings (August 19th)

Rank Card Last Week’s Rank
Zap  zap 1 Zap continues its domination over the Card Power Rankings.  All but one of the top 30 players this week were playing Zaps in their decks.
Mini P.E.K.K.A mini_PEKKA 3 A lot of rumors swirling around an upcoming nerf for Mini P.E.K.K.A. in the next balance update (potentially to be announced next week!)  While a very good card, we honestly don’t think Mini P.E.K.K.A. is by any means an imbalanced one; we’d prefer other cards to be buffed or nerfed before Mini P.E.K.K.A. gets touched.
Elixir Collector elixir_collector 2 Sometimes I wonder whether the Pump can be made to add a little more strategic value to the game other than just pumping out an Elixir every 10 seconds or so.  Considering that spells like Rage/Freeze/Zap can speed up or slow down the Pump, maybe more cards can have interactions with it as well to affect the Elixir production rate?
Guards GuardsCard 4 Same spot for the shielded trio this week.  As long as the meta favors Giant/Mini P.E.K.K.A. decks, we expect Guards to remain a staple in our Top 10.
Poison  PoisonCard 6 Same story as last week: still many players using Poison, but many are still playing with Lightning, which again just missed the Top 10 this week.
(tied) Musketeer  MusketeerCard 8 Looks like Trifecta decks are now a thing of the past (for this week, anyway), with only 2 of the Top 30 players using Valkyrie this week and Hog missing the Top 10.  Musketeer is still sitting strong in our rankings though.
(tied) Giant  giant 7 While everyone talks about what to expect with the next balance change, don’t forget that there’s also a strong possibility that new cards will be introduced!  With the effectiveness of the Giant pushes, you’d have to wonder whether a card to counter the Giant will be introduced…
(tied) Princess   PrincessCard 5 This week marks the first time that THREE Legendary cards made it into our Top 10!  Power Rankings staple Princess is here as usual, along with….
(tied) Miner  MinerCard-1 10 (tied) …Good ol’ Miner, and…
(tied) Ice Wizard IceWizardCard NEW …Ice Wizard! The third card in the “Payfecta” decks finally shows up in the Power Rankings.  For a good example of a Payfecta deck, be sure to check out this post from Pompeyo on Reddit.
